• Sister-Section in Italy
  Through initial efforts of Daniela Cambie', a recently active council member, the San Francisco Section maintains a special relationship with the AIDAA-Euroavia Section at "Milan Polytechnic"-Milan  (Department of Aerospace Engineering). • Local Student Paper Contest
  In 1998 the San Francisco Section initiated a Technical Paper Contest. The contest winner gets an opportunity to present the paper in Italy -- expenses paid.

Recent Educational Outreach Events

•   Stanford Pioneer Forum  
  On November 5, 1999 the San Francisco section helped The Ethiopian Student Union sponsor  a day of events featuring native-born Ethiopian, Noah Samara.  Mr. Samara, founder and CEO of WorldSpace Corporation, spoke at an event open to the public at Kresge Auditorium. 

  WorldSpace, with its subsidiaries, is the first and only company in the world to obtain licenses to provide international digital satellite audio broadcasting service in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.

• Outreach to Stanford 

  On October 1, 1999 Section Chairman, Steve Jaeger addressed the Stanford Student Chapter. He discussed Professional Membership and reviewed Section Activities.
