Return of the Airship

Alexandra Hall, CEO
Airship Ventures
Moffett Field, CA

Airship of San Francisco Bay Navy blimp outside Hanger One

Summary

Gone for decades, the skies over the Bay area once again see an airship; and once again Moffett Field is home to the operation. Airship Ventures flies the Zeppelin Eureka regularly over the South Bay/Silicon Valley, San Francisco skyline, Sonoma/Napa Valley wine country, and Monterey/Big Sur -- cruising at 1,200 feet at 35-40 mph.

Eureka, built by ZLT Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik, made its maiden flight in Germany on May 21, 2008, flew to the Bay area, and now makes it base of operations at Hanger Two, Moffett Field.

How did the airship make its return to Moffett Field? What are the prospects for its future? Join us, along with Alexandra Hall and members of the Airship Ventures staff, as we discuss the Return of the Airship.
