San Francisco Section Activities

The San Francisco Section took Gold, Silver and Bronze medals
in the AIAA Section Award playoffs.

About the Section Honors and Awards Directorate
The Honors and Awards Directorate charter is:
- To recognize outstanding Section Members, such as Section
Engineer, Outstanding Section Member/Student Member/Faculty Member, best
technical paper presenter, etc., by presenting plaques, certificates of
appreciation, or trophies.
- To recommend recognition of past Chairs, Council Members and Committee
Chairs.
- Recommend promotion of Section Member Grade, nominate individuals for
National Awards, submit nominations for National Section Awards and local section
recognition, review the Honors and Awards timetable for award submission
dates, communicate with the Deputy Director of Honors and Awards and
keep him/her informed of goals and objectives of Section.
- Recognize the Section 25, 30, 40, and 50 Year Members.
- Review timetable for and recommend nominations for National Section Award,
Outstanding Section Award, Newsletter Award, Membership Award, Young
Member Activity Award.
